This portrait of the famous Swedish prima ballerina Carina Ari dates back to the time of Hermann Haller's stay in Paris. At the time, he belonged to the circle of artists at the Café du Dôme, where the art dealers Paul Cassirer and Alfred Flechtheim also regularly stayed.
