In the portfolio titled “Etchings to Rexroth” Brice Marden has brought together his fascination for the art of calligraphy as well as his strong interest in poetry. During the period of generating the portfolio Brice Marden read a Chinese poem of the 18th century by the writer Tu Fu. The translation of the poem by the American literary critic and poet Kenneth Rexroth moved Marden eventually to give the title to his portfolio.
The important portfolio "Etchings to Rexroth" is in excellent condition like fresh from the press.
